The Egyptian Mortgage Federation was established under Article 34 (bis) of the Mortgage Finance Law No. 148 of 2001, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 55 of 2014, and operates under the supervision of the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority.
The Federation brings together all entities operating in Egypt's real estate finance ecosystem, and strives to be a supportive and active institution in developing this activity — serving as the primary channel for communication and the key driver of regulation and coordination among all parties in the sector.
